A 100 litre drum leaves a lot of flash. On a manual line that means a person standing at the machine with a knife for every cycle, and the quality of the trim depends on how tired that person is at hour ten. The MP100FD carries a pneumatic cutter system that trims flash automatically as the part is ejected. Consistent trimming matters beyond labour cost. Flash left on the neck or the base interferes with stacking, damages pallets and fails incoming inspection at the customer.
